The curtains draw back, the lights start to dim
The orchestra tunes up, the symphony begins
The first course arrives, a delicate dance
On my taste buds, a sweet romance
A bruschetta duet, with fresh heirloom tomatoes
A creamy burrata, a perfect allegro
Each bite a crescendo, a burst of delight
My heart sings, my appetite takes flight
The second act, a pasta performance
A hand-rolled lasagna, a rich indulgence
Layers of love, a melodious blend
A standing ovation, my taste buds transcend
Next up, a duet of seafood and steak
A surf and turf, a perfect mate
The shrimp, succulent, the steak, tender and rare
A harmonious pairing, a duet to share
The grand finale, a sweet serenade
A tiramisu, a decadent parade
Layers of ladyfingers, espresso-soaked
A creamy mascarpone, a dessert bespoke
In between courses, arias are sung
With each bite, a new verse is begun
The flavors, they dance, on my tongue they play

The wine flows freely, enhancing each bite
A perfect accompaniment, a perfect delight
