Opposition - Poem by vox populous

be a politician
Not me
some made to govern
others made to listen
I used to play that game
chess
Forced war
oppositioned
Where you fight
No going back
Best defend
Is to attack
Sneaky cheap shooting
Underhanding
Moves
Poker facing
An opposition
For the price of democracy
Will there be a day
they may
get along
get beside
each other sister brother
not sibling rival ring
be the day
an outside enemy
comes
declares
that’s when we always join
together
common causing enemying
and then the pigs of war
snake their way between the fine print
money while souls fall
on hallowed grounds
on distant shores
we will visit in times
lay wreaths and monuments
encourage descendents to remember those
who fell for the cause
and freedoms of expressions

Why does the rich guy
always get the girl
Oh well
Tis life
Tis life
