Original Sin - Poem by Kelly Kurt

I have transgressed
I have taken things
I have lusted
I have envied
I have lied
I have tried to redeem myself
Make amends
Atone and repair
I am contrite
Doing my best to be better
But the stain of birth remains
Damned for existing
Feckless
It's not my fault
It's not your fault
It is supreme manipulation
Propaganda
We are innocent

Injustice with ourselves or with others is sin, rest is all right. (Report) Reply

The common good is virtuous and moral.

    1 person liked.
    0 person did not like.

Honestly I too have trouble understanding the theory of sin. Good post. (Report) Reply

There is nothing more to understand than the fact that men made all the silly religious rules and theories. If there was a god, it wouldn't do any of the craziness attributed to it, but if it did, it would not only be unworthy of worship, but contemptible/

Bad behavior is rampant, but an original stain on our lives, imposed by a phantom and accepted by mindless sheep is ridiculous

Raw honesty penned. Can feel it! We all have regrets yet cannot change anything. We punish ourselves toooo much. (Report) Reply

We have enough to regret and atone for without religion telling us that we are born with mortal sin. We are born innocent, live, make mistakes and die. No heaven, no hell.
