Orion's Return Back To Earth. Poem by Tor Magnor Solvang

Orion's Return Back To Earth.

To Moon we fly, a dream so bold,
Artemis II, a story told.

But going home is hardest yet,
A fiery test, we won't forget.

Orion speeds, a star so bright,
Through burning sky, in darkest night.

Five thousand degrees, a fearsome heat,
The shield must hold, and can't be beat.

From twenty-five thousand miles an hour fast,
To three hundred slow, that's built to last.

The plasma glows, a fiery dance,
A sign of strength, a hopeful chance.

The heat shield works, it does its part,
Protecting all, with brave, strong heart.

Ocean splash, a gentle kiss,
The journey ends, with watery bliss.

Faster than ISS, the speed they claim,
Orion's tough, it plays the game.

Built for space, to roam and soar,
Tested strong, forevermore.

Not just a land, but to survive,
With fire and grace, they stay alive.

A final plunge, a perfect aim,
Human spirit, burns like flame.

Orion's Return Back To Earth.
