Orphan Poem by Alias Alias

Orphan

Even as the train is on its way,
you still stand there in the corner.
The corner where you first found me,
found me hopeless & crying.
Crying out for god knows what reason,
reason enough though for me to want to die.
Die a lone & painful death of starvation,
starvation was not my only enemy that rainy night,
Night begins to fall but you don't budge.

From the corner of my eye,
i see you discover my new hiding spot.
A spot where i thought nobody could find but me, myself, & i.
I guess it's back to the orphanage where i supposedly belong.
Belong? Or should i say imprisoned?
Yes, that's it. I am imprisoned there.

...

You ran away because? '
'I hate this place'
'But this is your home until some nice people can take you to a new home'
'Home? HOME! ? You call a place I am imprisoned to a home, you call a place where i know nothing about...home? You expect me to sit & wait around for some idiots who think they know what it's like not knowing who or where their parents are that didn't want me to pick me up....'
'Honey, your parents came to pick you up today. We had to tell them you ran away, they said that was the only time they could come get you'
'...'
