Other Plans Poem by The Queen's Dagger

Other Plans

You expect me to still love you
after you stripped me of all that I am.
You expect me to come back to you
after you broke my soul
into a billion pieces.

I won't let you torture me
like you did before.

You're living in blissful ignorance
of what you're too afraid to see.
You're an expert at hating
when all you preach is love.
I don't get it.

I won't let you torture me
like you did before.

You're a pitiful demon,
deceptive and toxic.
Preying on my good intentions,
you snared me in your trap
and I thought I would never escape.

I won't let you torture me
like you did before.

You seem to have no idea
just what you have done to me.
I will never return to you,
no matter how much you cry,
no matter how hard you try.

I didn't want to hurt you,
but you had other plans.

You summed it up quite nicely. Glad I am not he. I'd be crying too. You sound like quite a woman. Let him cry. He deserves it. Good write.
