Otherside Of Me Poem by Dan Uher

Otherside Of Me

You may think I'm this nice person
You don't know this rage I've been nursin
You think I'm neat
Until I sweep you off your feet
Knock you flat on your back
You realize I have attacked

You don't know
You don't know
The side I never show
You don't know
You don't know
About the fits I always throw
You don't know the otherside of me
Don't know
Don't know
The otherside of me

You stand here face to face
With someone you thought you knew
Someone who thought their life was through
After all of these troubles
All of these obstacles
Got around them
The difference of now and then
Is that I have a reason
Without showing my treason
I am true to my word
Not letting my life become deturred

Strong as I am
Strong as I may seem
How much of a sham
And how much I can go to the extreme
To get to what I need

I am stronger than ever before
Much stronger at the core
Much more my brain starts to flore
All you do is keep asking for more

In my heart I keep it deep
Not needing to be cleaned
It's my secret
I know you may fear it
I'm sorry you can't have it
I keep it inside
Not waiting to let it ride
Its own course
It's own way
Otherwise many will pay
