Our Hero Poem by Elizabeth Fontaine Grieco

Our Hero

Rating: 0.5

David was a simple country boy,
Who gave us so much love and joy.
For his presence is always felt
Among the busy days events.

The years that we spent together
Were definitely heaven sent,
Never regretting the love we shared
'Cause your our hero, and that is rare!

You chose to give your life
To serve beside your countrymen,
And that is a huge sacrifice
That will never be forgotten.

As I sit and remember you
For all of your good deeds,
May God bless you eternally,
Wherever that might be!
