Our Picture Perfect World Poem by Carike Klokow

Our Picture Perfect World

Morning breaks like a fallen glass,
and all i see are dewdrops on grass.
Glistening in the morning sun,
the pearls of heaven are on the run
The smell of mud enchants my head,
and like the sun i rise from my bed

On wooden floors i place my feet,
and robins come to whistle and greet.
I walk to the table and take a seat,
i pick up an apple and begin to eat.
A breeze escapes from under the door,
i lift my feet off the floor.

I sit back in my chair
and can't help but stare
All those beautiful flowers and trees,
rabbits, deers, birds and bees
What a wonderful life we live with all these things so positive.

A silent prayer escapes my mind
to the one above who created all kind
and a teardropp forms in the corner of my eye,
how sad it will be to oneday say goodbye.

Your first stanza is especially dazzling. Beautiful work.
