Our Soldiers In War Poem by megan erkkila

Our Soldiers In War

Rating: 2.7

Red, white and blue they say
They fight for our country, but we pay
There go our families and friends
We have to wait until the war ends
To see our loved ones again

Some die because of bombs
And others call out to their moms
We are just as bad
As the iraqie man

We are killing their families
and leaving children all alone
Bush doesn't even care how his people feel
He leans on the government like he has no backbone

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

the 1st stanza of this poem is beautiful Red, white and blue they say They fight for our country, but we pay There go our families and friends (just one fix maybe: There go our families and our friends We have to wait until the war ends I am writing a poetry book about soldiers and even though I agree with the part about the president - I won't have any work containing political comments on the president - If you would like this poem to be considering in the book I plan to have printed - either let me know if I may just use the first stanza (and your name of course, or if you wish to rewrite more of this poem following the 1st stanza) .
