Out From Eden Poem by Joseph M Donatelli

Out From Eden

From out ot caves waking walking
Came the stalking sulking hunters
Wandering wondering asking
The most puzzling of questions
Who am I what am I why am I
Questions cast against the sky

In that age of mostly innocence
Our ancient biology came to be
And altered little from the days of Eden
And startles in our modern equation
Of social rituals that strain
Our natural hormonal systems

So leave me to my loving mind
Don't let morales bind you in a crime
My affection I will drink thy wine
And feel you in the morning time
Afternoon and evening too
Whenever I am with you
