Out My Window Poem by connie crane

Out My Window

The contrast of white and green,
Accompanied by every shade in between.
A backdropp of bright blue,
Muted sporadically by a veil through,
Which every hue of blue is varied.

White peaks and green peaks,
Mountains tops and tree tops.
The bright expanse and white expanse,
Of infinite sky and cloud dance,
Which enhance the splendor of mountain grandeur.

This lengthy range of up and down,
Of awesome height, of exalted ground.
If I sit upon it, it is not there.
Yet from my window my view is impaired,
By the rise and swell of earth into air,
Which fills my vision without apology.

Redness beats against the powerful presence of majesty.
My heart draws near to that which appears to be, untouchable.
I am unquestionably drawn to the beauty I see,
If a press myself against it, it will envelope me,
And I will be one with divinity.
