Out Of Reach Poem by timothy prestridge

Out Of Reach

Rating: 5.0

I hear her voice in the night,
shes weeping over my dreams
hovering just out of reach,
with just a whisper she touches my soul.

A kiss she gives for my tears,
A gentle caress to ease this agony,
An embrace that leaves me with hope,
A fleeting smile like the wind it passes away.

Still I hear her voice in the night,
Still she weeps over my nightmares,
Still she hovers close to my heart that cant be touched,
Still she whispers her love that cant be felt.

If I could shed a thousand tears,
from a thousand wounds,
it would taste like iron,
stained red by my still beating heart left in your hands.
