Outcasts Of Poker Flat: Duchess Pov Poem by Zachary Hale

Outcasts Of Poker Flat: Duchess Pov

Upon being exiled
I set out with the rest,
There was but 5 and
Oakhurst was the best.

He kept me safe
He made me gay,
I begged him to
Please stay.

But when that
Dreadful day had came,
He thought he
was to blame.

He left me
With a kiss,
A love I
Know I'll miss.

So I sit out
In this freeze,
I prayed to
God, I said please.

To let me
In his gates,
Despite the
Townsmen's hates.

So that one day we'll
Be together,
So we can
Love forever.
