Outside The Gates Poem by Justin Gildow

Outside The Gates

Outside the gates
We'll shake the hands
We'll receive the hugs
We'll count our blessings
And achieve whatever is left to be achieved
Before it's too late

Side by side
We stand by the walls
Outside the gates
The cold air mixes with our warm breath
As it is cold
Around this time of year
This point in the season

Outside the gates
The season for the Faire is over for the year
We'll embrace and maybe cry a few tears
But we know it really is a time to celebrate

We stand outside the gates
By the walls
With smiles on our faces
And in the time to come
We'll reminisce of the special times
We'll reminisce of this wonderful place
