Painted My Heart Poem by Thabitha Marakalala

Painted My Heart

Paint my heart for you
I know am not the kind
That talks much of my mind
I know my shyness
Carries a lot of silence
Today I decided to paint for you
My love
On a blank page I paint for you My heart

I painted for you the depth of my soul
How you filled my empty hole
I wrote to you the happiness I get
With your every sight
Honey i admire the art of you mind
You painted me with your love
Now my joy goes onward
And my grief is left behind
I paint to you my heart

I painted for you my love
You are truly sent from up above
My edges maybe rough
To you am enough
When am weak I cry
But I still look like a soldier in your eyes
You see kindness in my silence
You see laughter in my sadness
Bravery in my tears

I painted for you more than feelings
these are emotions of my being
You reflect in this heart of mine
Every sight of your face
The feeling is divine
I painted to you me
And how you make me feel
I painted my inner voice for you
I wrote to you my heart on a piece of paper
Enclosed with a crystal shrine.....
