Pariah's New Life Poem by Sierra Staten

Pariah's New Life

When you associate with a pariah, you too become an outcast.
It is only my assumption this is why you avoid me so well
And only correlate with me when you're certain that nobody else's eyes can watch.
You promised we'd be together forever,
Though, forever is just another word without meaning.
Another word dead to me.
Yet when your voice says it, it brings me
New life in this dying world.
