Past - Poem by Tashira Rodriguez
The past is such an unusual place.
Which holds memories we want to escape.
But it's already done, it cannot be changed.
It's set in stone, held together by our life's chains.
We must learn to live with it, and look on.
For our chance to change the past is gone.
We can look back, and think of what we did wrong.
But we must keep our chin up, and be strong.
So learn from your mistakes.
Because one second is all it takes.
To throw away your future for something that won't last.
All because of something that was done in the past
