Past Mistakes Poem by nic hillen

Past Mistakes

Got no ambition I have no drive
A lifeless glare through glassy eyes
Ideas and dreams were put to rest
A gaping hole within my chest
All prosperity leaked down the drain
My mistakes no ones else is to blane
Still going through all the pain and hurt
Soaking up trouble like rain in the dirt
Every days like a knife to my throat
I say im gonna change but I no I really wont
Had to many cold nights spent behind bars
that's left me with unmemorable scars
Reach out to God to guide me back
Before the devil begins an attack
I wish I could turn the hands of time
Revive this tired cold world of mine
But I cant touch no yesterday
The old me dead and gone away
