Pasuram 4 Poem by Umasree Raghunath

Pasuram 4

Pasuram 4

Rise O gentle maiden, open your door,
The night has passed, darkness is no more.
The birds are singing, cows have stirred,
Temple conches sing God's word.
The wise are chanting Vedas aloud,
The streets awaken,
no longer a cloud.
Let's bathe in love, in holy grace,
Seek Narayana's radiant face.
Join us now, let's keep the vow,
With hearts pure and heads that bow.
