Pathetic Poem by Isabelle Aubree

Pathetic

A craving,
Want,
Need,
More than I can bear.

A cliché,
Pathetic,
Pitiful,
Life seems so unfair.

I see all you people,
Your laughter,
Your joy.

I wish that I could sense it,
Drink it up,
Enjoy.

The effervescent light
No longer dances in these eyes.
My face distorting hideously,
I try to mimic your smiles.

Curling up into a ball,
I embrace the oncoming hunger,
A volcano in my stomach,
Erupting as the lava boils over.

Scream.
Cry.
Run run run.

Drink it up.
Enjoy.
