Pattaya Dreams Poem by Avernus Sans Pitie

Pattaya Dreams

Pattaya's humid heat breathes on my skin
May Kong intoxication no solace for him
Jom-the-en thick with lies and women's need
With haunted eyes he has cast a bitter seed
(Chorus - Bargirls, soft and overlapping)
Hold me, baby, feel my skin
Love me, darling, let me win
Believe me, darling, I'll be true
Just tell me what you want me to do.

Moths to flame, smiles both bright and bold
Whispering their names, stories bought and sold
Comfort a fleeting grace hands to hold so tight
Desperation on each face, to escape the night.
They understand, the hunger in my soul
A chance to leave the Land of Smiles to finally make them whole.

Hold me, baby, feel my skin
Love me, darling, let me win
Believe me, darling, I'll be true
Just tell me what you want me to do.
He sees her ghost in every flicker in the gloom
A memory stolen sealed in this humid room
Under the fan she used to sing, her voice a fragile thing
A gentle touch of what love could bring.

Didn't see the light, the beauty she possessed
Pride compelled him to to be unimpressed
She's gone away, lost to the cruel game
Every night he whispers out New Wei's name.

Hold me, baby, feel my skin...
Love me, darling, let me win...
Believe me, darling, I'll be true...
Just tell me what you want me to do...

Whiskey burns within his chest
No one can touch him, no woman makes him rest
In dreams, she is there, a phantom of the past
Drowns girls in tears, a love that wouldn't last.

Alone he sits, a broken shell, in Pattaya's smoky haze
Condemned to live lonely for the rest of his days
