Peace Poem by Joseph Dos Santos

Peace

I'm tired of the pain
And suffering as others gain
We retain the same shame
As we aim to exlclaim
Our reign of happiness
In this game of fame
Could you please explain
The flame that
Burns through the rain
Of evil that calls out your name
While you restrain to change
Your heart from the one who
Blames and claims never
To refrain that the lame
Will not pertain
To love
But to live on the lane
With no grain, but of
Blood that flows down drains
Of insane strain
Get on the train
Our lives are no longer sane
But remain in the window pane
Of what society calls
Peace.

I like it. Very true and refreshing to read something real
