When we admire someone, we try to be that person
Just as a child tries to copy their heroes in life.
Though it be speech, dress, temper or behavior
We emulate those we love by our strife.
What does it mean to "work out your salvation",
Our blessing from God is not our journey's end.
It's the catalyst that turns our mood around
As we trust Jesus as our Lord, Savior and Friend.
Our salvation should be a reflection of Christ
No matter what we may face or undergo.
It's the trust we hold within our hearts
Which gives us peace of mind, purpose and soul.
