Vibrant leaves firmly embrace,
Autumn’s robust bending branches,
against cutting wisps of brisk air,
pushing woolly clouds above.
Crackle of leaves beneath kind hooves,
thick coated deer forage tender grass,
as bushy-tailed squirrels hoard acorns;
tranquility falls over the forest in a hush.
Flocks in formation soar way up high,
southbound away from the rich dusk,
which reflects pastels on river’s edge,
and flows peacefully into forever.
