Peacock Blues Poem by Antony Glaser

Peacock Blues

memory fades on falling feet
present truth remembers shadows
music drowned by the past
The birthday child patents laughter
Wet evening absolution
Roses wilting certainty
Winged flight on crazed shore
the only memory sound
