when you long for what you are deprived of
His eyes are sun, and moon against black
He is looking to see who is looking back

If you could come to discern
all that your soul does yearn
look past these sapphire skies of blue
You will find him looking back at you

in the rivers and ocean wide
in the pompadour pink of the blushing bride
in the blades of grass between your toes
and all that lies under your nose

the leaf upon the ground
the summer cricket sound
the feather upon the floor
the guest that never arrived at the door

in the ones, that by your side did stay
and the one you longed for most, and got away
your shoes that no longer fit
and the truth that does not admit

the passage of time
the rhythmic rhyme
a musical tune
traffic jam of the afternoon

He is One he is All
Spring, summer, winter, fall
Your faith, your doubt
