People need people at times
Ones they put their trust in.
Someone to talk to when
there is no one else.
Someone to listen to your problems
and your innermost secrets.
A person who will try to lift
your spirits because they care.
One who will always be there
when you need a helping hand.
That certain someone is
of course called a friend.
You may not have known it before
But you have a friend in me.
So whenever you need a hand
Or maybe just a listening ear
Remember me, my friend
Because I will always be here.
