Clock expires
on yet another
game

scoreboard lights

stoically
impassively
posts
the numeric story

it's results
never lie

home team
comes up
short again

We are defeated
but not beaten

let us resolve
to rise from the
ashes of
this disaster

come back
tomorrow

fight again
fight harder

play smarter

take another shot
at the victory

that
escaped our grasp
today

and be

as gracious

in victory

as we are
in defeat
