Periods Poem by Haarika Thummuri Thummuri

Periods

Somewhere in the dark corner I was found
Shriveled up sickly forsaken by family
Weighing humongous hormonal fluctuations
U found me frightened and frustrated
For that I have never seen that color oozing out without a wound
While I am weary everyone is wearing
A twinkle with a wrinkle
It's pinching as they were never in pleasure for my pressure
Why all of a sudden I became a touch me not
Is my quite query
Well, traditions should not be questioned is their rhetorical reply
Coloring yellow I am yellow bellied
For what might happen next...
But, deep down all these sensitive sensations I took a stand
Modelling a modern women and a Maverick
When needed
Flying away from fiction I felicitated my femininity
As I now know, I am no more a puppy but a panther in pace.
