This is wonderful! And it's traditional in that the subject is Nature as perceived by the senses. It begins with our gaze focused on the sky, and then a big swoop downward to the trees, and then finally the floor of the forest with a creek. The expanse of space we see is breathtaking - so much space in such a brief moment of time. And within those three images of three levels of space, so much dynamism - the clouds drifting in their stately movement, leaves battered by winds, even the creek's erosion of its banks is caught in the poet's vision. Bravo, Poet Brian! This traditional haiku transcends practice work!
