Ph: Love: The Girl Who Named Catfish Poem by Brian Johnston

Ph: Love: The Girl Who Named Catfish

It is just a small pond, but the catfish are wild,
And the senior who does this no longer a child,
She has rescued cats too and kept horses a while,
Not in need of approval, she lives without guile.

With a heart for small creatures, folks less a concern,
She just follows her conscience, can features discern
Of the multiple catfish who greet her each morn,
Gayly writhe in her farm pond while she feeds them corn.

There are Charlie and Henry, "Let Ted have some too! "
Of course, Charlene and Emma are part of her zoo,
Now some stragglers have shown up; she feeds them as well,
For they all have a name too! She cheats? Can she tell?

But the smallest of fish must get filled to the brim,
For they vacate the premise, flick tail, take a swim,
And this animal lover checks cats for a change,
It seems life is quite simple out here on the range!
