Phoenix Rising Poem by Mary Champion

Phoenix Rising

They burned me when they didn't understand,
when the void of ignorance was filled with fear.
Misusing what should be a healing hand,
knowing I would speak what they did not want to hear,
they tied me to a stake. They thought I'd disappear.

They did not know that Truth can't be destroyed,
neither fire nor flood can ever still its voice.
There is no method that can be deployed,
Man must understand that he never had a choice,
for the Truth cannot be silenced by His noise.

And so, I live again to spread the word,
flying closer to the Sun each time I rise,
this time I will prevail, and Truth be heard -
cutting through the dark confusion and the lies,
He'll be born on wings of Truth to Paradise.
