Phone Call Poem by bby bat

Phone Call

The thought strikes fear into her heart
The thought that they could ever be apart
Together forever is what they said
As she replays the scene in her head
She lays in bed alone
Sitting waiting for the phone
She listens as the birds sing
Then finally came the ring
For the phone she dashed
She listens closely, his plane has cashed
She weeps for her world is shaking
The ground under her is quaking
As she weeps she bangs the walls
Punching and screaming till she finally falls
She sits there weeping all night
Hugging her sides in real tight
She cries and cries
As all hope dies
They were supposed to call
If they heard anything at all
Her sorrow has many tears to bring
Suddenly she hears the phone ring
