Phylum Bait Poem by Dashaun Rashod Snipes

Phylum Bait

Rating: 5.0

Phylum Kingdom, vast and grand
In its diversity, we all stand
From tiny microbes to giant beasts
In this kingdom, all life seeks
From bacteria to fungi to plants
The first trophic level, they enhance
They make their food through photosynthesis
The base of the food chain, their brilliance
Next come the herbivores, they graze
Feeding on plants in a peaceful daze
They are the primary consumers
But the cycle continues, there are still more layers
Carnivores then enter the game
Predators, they hunt and claim
The herbivores as their prey
The second trophic level, they portray
But wait, there's still another step
Before the food chain is set
Omnivores, they eat both meat and greens
Completing the chain, or so it seems
But in this kingdom, there's always more
Decomposers, they clean the floor
Breaking down dead plants and animals
Returning nutrients to the soil, they are crucial
Phylum Bait, an intriguing tale
Of life's journey, we unveil
From bottom to top, each level plays
A crucial role in this kingdom's ways
So let us marvel at this chain
Which keeps life going, in a cyclic refrain
From the smallest creature to the mightiest king
In the Phylum Kingdom, all life springs.
