Picture-Frame Poem by Adamae Liege

Picture-Frame

Pictures hang in the hall
sitting still on the wall.
Coats hang on a rack
hats sit in a stack.
Scarves are in a row
hanging up for the snow.
Plates stay in a pile
cups in the back have been there a while.
Boots in the closet
waiting for the snow to deposit.
Hot chocolate sitting on the stove
marshmallows in the alcove.
Jeans in the dresser
waiting for their successor.
Snow in the yard
though footprints leave it scarred.
Pictures sitting in their frame
waiting to be remembered again.
