Pin Stripes Poem by Reginald Goodridge

Pin Stripes

They seldom slow down
always running about
Focused on your wallet
what's that in their mouths

A deep smirk they show
one for every cent
Backing up for a discount
oh, how they lament

Wanting more
Showing me less
Bundled as they innovate
the workings of progress

They may be Apples
or Windows in Dell
Perhaps grapes from France
Belgium cheese in taverns as well

All packed and processed
marking their triumph
a capitalist's dream
so glad I got a quick glimpse
