Pirate And Worms Poem by DiAnne Douglass

Pirate And Worms

Sailing my ship, not doing any harm.
Along came a seagull and took my by the arm.
He took me to a merman who ran a little bell.
Along came some Marines who took me to a cell.
The prisoner beside me told me I had gall.
All because I said he was really tall.
So I ran away down the hall.
Not looking to see what was ahead.
I tripped over the foot of a Fed.
Oh the hard life of a pirate!
Nobody likes me, everybody hates me.
I'm going to go eat some worms.
Big fat juicy ones, little bitty squirmy ones.
Any kind of worms.
First you bite the heads off, then you suck the guts out.
Ohhh how they wiggle and squirm.
Nobody likes me, everybody hates me.
Guess I'll go eat some worms.
