We live in a world
Of fears and nightmares,
Afraid of what lies ahead
Unsure of everything
Yet planning a lot.
Afraid of desire, afraid of dream,
Desperately struggling to suppress
What tries to come out,
Some suppress the sins and curb their vices,
Others bury their courage
And cremate their ideas of greater good
For something not so great.
