Please Hear Me

Oh Lord dear God allow me near
Caress my heart of stone
Cuddle me for I’m plagued with fear
And feeling so alone

I’ve fallen short and failed so much
I’ve scandalized Your name
Humbly I pray Your tender touch
Would free me of my shame

You love me Lord but hate my sin
Salvation’s Your desire
So hear me as I pray within
Your Holy Ghost and Fire

Oh Lord my God I need Your Dove
I need Christ Jesus’ hand
I need His strength His selfless love
To walk The Way as planned

I’m helpless walking on my own
Too weak the foe to fight
Please hear me from Your mercy throne
Of unapproachable Light

You hear my words You see my heart
You know by faith I’m here
Allow once more a brand new start
And flood my soul with cheer

Forgive my shame my every flaw
Remove all stench of doubt
Anoint me with Your touch once more
And send your servant out

Despatch me north despatch me south
Send east and westward too
Anoint my hands my feet and mouth
That I may serve anew
