Please Remember Me Poem by Angela Trimm

Please Remember Me

If all my life I had to wonder what true love really is.
If I had never seen your face or tasted your sweet kiss.
That first glance in each other's eyes, the connection of our souls.
If I had never felt your love, my heart would have never been whole.
Sometimes I think what if it worked, should I go back and try.
And then I think of all those nights I sat alone and cried.
Could I bare the chance to hurt again because of lonely tears.
I'd rather leave it like it is and be your yesteryear's.
With all my heart and all of my love, I now will let you be.
But one thing I ask before I go,
Please remember me.
