Poem 29, Betrayal.

Poem 29, Betrayal.
~
Cold, biting silence.
A melody to my ears
The backwash of the angry hurt of violence
“Betrayal.” Is the word that one will hear.

When others enjoy
Sick fun at my expense
Regardless of whether it was a stupid ploy
Or a story made to keep me in suspense.

What matters is the blatant fact
Is that you knew that it would hurt.
A couple swords right through my back
…A stunt that’s lower than dirt.

I’m not one to have
People take advantage of my emotions.
Sure, go ahead, and have your laughs,
Try to cause a commotion.

The seconds will turn to minutes
The minutes, from then, to hours
Don’t ask forgiveness. I will not give it.
Hours to days, to weeks, maybe months
Nobody messes with my emotions.
