Poem 3 Poem by Jay Alexander

Poem 3

seeping shuttered light
striates melded skin,
we lie amazed.
an ocean passed
through us
tossed us beyond dark depths,

bore us on frothy waves,
landed us
on some distant shore.
now cloistered,
our tactile bodies, minds,
seek each other, gravitate,

hold us together,
fold us apart.
