Poem About The Allies Poem by David Pyrs

Poem About The Allies

Throughout history of mankind,
War and Peace never loved one mind.

Good has Risen,
Evil prevailed.

At darkest hours,
Good slayed daemons Back & Ahead.

You were young,
You were old,

You were a man,
&
You were a woman.

But at that very important day,
All your smiles,
All your cries,

Forged you together,
As mighty Allies!

You caught bullets,
To protect home.

Faced evil days,
To reach unknown.

Endured pain to see her smile,
To hold your son,
To hug your mom,

To face your dad,
A man, Reborn.

To face your mom,
A woman, Known.

To walk your daughter,
To the ice cone.

To smile again,
As never, been gone.

Endure it all,
To meet love again.

Or, one final breath,
to “We shall meet again”.

You smiled,
In a world on its knees.

You cried,
Along Victory-painted-red Skies, Lands and Beaches,
Not knowing, the meaning of all bloodshed and tears.

You begged for mercy,
And roared of Victor,
With Finest Hour carved deep in your heart,

You are the Allies!
Who seized our future,
Unchaind all hearts!
