Poison Poem by Mackenzie Loyd

Poison

Love was her arsenic.
For she could not contain the poison it held.
Because she fell oblivious to the games,
the lies,
and the shame.
The bitter and sorrowful cold.
And she let love win.
When only a lie for her it would hold.
