Politician Poem by Kevin Patrick II

Politician

Politician, serpent smile
Selling hate, the crowd goes wild
raising flags, the faithful toil
To serve a cause for blood and soil

Preaching fear in spiders sermons
They pull the wool in faux ermine
In tailored suits, the conman plan
To rob the poor, pure spick and span

Here them call, for brave new futures
Their golden tongues spread black tumors
With promises, they con recruits
To kill for them and lick their boots

The games they play, are old as time
With shady deals they hide their crimes
A lizards grace, their careful schemers
To draw your trust, of great deceivers

The only side they ever serve
Is the one that you're their hors d'oeuvre
Their crooked as the hands they shake
Politicians make the rules they break
