Poor Sparrow Poem by Varchaswi Putcha

Poor Sparrow

I ask that restive parrot jingling and jarring
to sojourn there a while on its bough, swaying

I demand that royal swan sashaying in the welkin milks
to stick to its gargantuan status pious always

I heckle at the peacock to wander a bit yonder
who saunters in pompous plumage, being a vaunter

I demand the cuckoos to adjourn their slurring coos
trying to prune the tune of the new autumn to let loose

but, I welcome the little sparrow, an extinguishing bird
facing injury in the hands of technology halberd
