Pop Star Poem by Kevin Patrick

Pop Star

Shes glitter and glam
without a hint of grit
a mistress of starlight
so eloquently slick
she only really shines
when she teases your eyes
to make her feel perfect
when your her toy subject

Because she's a pop star

she's made up of make-up
she can never fake out
a perfumed ingenue
who trades what she flouts
tailored to delight
in scintillating smite
preaching to the idle
as a narcissists idol

because she's a pop star

The world moves for her
and her smile of treacle
she cant share the stage
because know ones her equal
she can sing about pain
while swimming in champagne
but her heart is hollow
when its gold she swallows

because she's a pop-star

She lives for the pleasure
of a captive audience
a siren to fanatics
mastering her dominance
A serpent in a lotus
bathing in the focus
Aiming to be a star
she earned with all her scars

because Shes a pop star
