Potpourri Of St. Vincent - Poem by thomas mofford

There it is

Lush Green

Isle of my dream

Black boys blended black sand
White crystals gleam among black matrix
Walk work wander
Gem of the Antilles

Grog groin grin
Island of sin

Government gangster girl
Island unfurls

Hod-seeker ghost-preacher gaunt-teacher
Island vary features

Black sand silhouette mountain-chain
Perimeter Kingstown St. Andrew
Arcaded buildings Back street
Varied sound around town

Beach-comber Barclay's Bank Courthouse
churchyard Cathedral
Schoolhouse Victoria Park Policemen Grog
Shops market Breadfruit Bandana-headed women

Dr. David Livingstone hatted lawmen
Breadfruit breasted black-beauties
Bajans at the 'Beachcomber'
