Prayer Poem by Nazand Begikhani

Prayer

Rating: 5.0

In a desert
At the foot of the cloud-hills
under the shadow of the wind
a woman stood up
a slender being
who turned her face to God
a face full of doubts
She lifted her hands
and I heard her pray:

"Oh my Lord
grant me the power
to avoid understanding your secrets
for I don't want to be shattered by anger"
